Tracking Deal Cards, Tasks & Filtering on the Kanban Board

Purpose

This comprehensive user guide explains how store operators and branch managers monitor active pawn and purchase contracts, filter pipeline views, manage operational tasks, and interact with transaction cards on the Home Kanban board in Cashy-Hub.

1. The Home Kanban Cockpit & FilterBar

At the top of the Home Kanban board, the FilterBar provides real-time search and multi-criteria filtering to help operators instantly locate contracts and prioritize daily work:

Filter Controls Reference

Control Type Behavior & Usage
Search Input Text Search Searches across booking numbers (B-10948), customer names, and item titles in real time.
Company Dropdown Filters the entire board to transactions belonging to a specific legal operating entity.
Branch Dropdown Cascade-Filtered: When a company is selected, the Branch selector automatically updates to list only the physical shops belonging to that company.
Business Area Dropdown Filters by business unit classification (e.g. General Goods, Motor Vehicles, Luxury Watches & Jewelry).
Deal Type Dropdown Switch between Pawn loans and Purchase outright acquisitions.
Creation Date Dropdown Quick time ranges: Last 7 days or Last 30 days.
Hide Tasks Toggle Switch Toggles the visibility of internal store task cards. When switched ON, the board hides task cards and displays only deal contracts.
Clear Filters Action Button Appears automatically whenever any filter is active. Clicking it resets all dropdowns, search terms, and toggles back to default.

2. Deal Cards (Pawn & Purchase Contracts)

Deal cards represent active customer contracts moving through your store's pipeline.

Interacting with Deal Cards

  • Single Click: Selects and highlights the card on the board.
  • Double Click: Immediately opens the Deal Wizard in Management Mode. This allows you to review the complete contract, complete category appraisal questions (Steps 2–6), add internal customer comments, view audit timeline events, or launch Payback and Extend modals.
  • Drag and Drop: Click and hold any deal card to drag it horizontally into a different pipeline column as its operational status advances.

3. Operational Task Cards (Store To-Dos)

In addition to customer deals, the Kanban board supports Task Cards for internal store management (such as vault audits, customer ID follow-ups, or courier pickups).

[!NOTE] Deals vs. Tasks: Task cards are internal operational reminders. They are strictly separate from legal pawn contracts and do not carry financial liability or customer contract numbers.

Automatic Visual Priority Tiers

Task card background colors and priority icons are computed automatically based on their due date:

Priority Tier Due Date Rule Visual Card Style Meaning & Operator Action
High Priority Due Today Red Tint (#fef2f2) + Red Icon Requires immediate action before current shift closes.
Medium Priority Due Tomorrow Blue Tint (#eff6ff) + Blue Icon Prepare documentation or collateral for tomorrow's shift.
Low Priority Future Date Clean White + Neutral Icon Standard routine operational reminder.

Task Card Elements

  • Header: Displays #TaskID / Assignee / Due Date (e.g. #104 / Admin / Today) and a menu button ().
  • Title: The core action summary (up to 40 characters).
  • Description: Optional detailed notes or procedural instructions (up to 100 characters).

4. Creating Tasks Directly Inside Columns

Operators can quickly add task reminders directly to any workflow stage:

Step-by-Step Task Creation Procedure

  1. Locate the column where the operational task should reside.
  2. In the column header, click the + (Add Task) button. An inline card titled "Adding task" expands at the top of the column.
  3. In the text field, type the Task Title (e.g. Inspect vehicle odometer, up to 40 characters).
  4. (Optional) In the multiline area, type a Description (up to 100 characters) with additional instructions.
  5. Select a Priority / Due Date pill:
  6. Click Today to assign today's date (High Priority).
  7. Click Tomorrow to assign tomorrow's date (Medium Priority).
  8. Click the Calendar Icon to open the mini-calendar date picker and select a custom future date.
  9. Click Add (or press the Enter key on your keyboard).
  10. The task card appears immediately inside the column.

[!WARNING] System INBOX Restriction: Tasks cannot be created in the first INBOX column. Clicking + in the INBOX header displays a system alert: "You can not add task to 'INBOX' column". Tasks must always be assigned to a specific operational pipeline stage.
